“If one were to imagine of the future that has not yet arrived”, changes and differences between the past and the present must be observed and reflected. So does the creation of these paintings that reflects simplicity along with the artist’s characteristics. Social issues and cultural aspects are commonly integrated to portray the stories of the ecosystem surrounding mankind and the linkage between human and nature, as if the reflection of a mirror in each period of time.
‘RETROSPECTIVE’, a solo exhibition by Wanlop Hansunthai, would like to invite you to step back and reflect on how simple life could be, while allowing you to relive moments at a particular point in time.

วัลลภ หาญสันเทียะ เกิดปี พ.ศ. 2521, พํานักและทํางานที่เชียงใหม่
วัลลภ หาญสันเทียะ สําเร็จการศึกษาจากมหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ในระดับปริญญาตรี คณะวิจิตรศิลป์ มุ่งสนใจในด้าน ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างธรรมชาติของความเป็นมนุษย์ ผ่านการสังเกตสิ่งรอบตัวในชีวิตประจําวัน งานของเขาจึงเน้นอธิบาย เรื่องราวผ่านผลงานจิตรกรรม รวมไปถึงการนําเสนอผลงานออกมาในรูปแบบที่หลากหลาย เพื่อสะท้อนมุมมองความจริงและข้อเท็จจริงบางส่วนผ่านงานศิลปะ ล่าสุดในเดือนสิงหาคมได้มีการจัดแสดงนิทรรศการที่ชื่อว่า‘THE RICE - FIELD CRAB SERIES’ ณ Bipolar Art Studio กรุงเทพมหานคร เดือนมีนาคม 2563 เขามีโอกาสได้นำผลงาน “Banana & Me”(28 sec video art) เข้าร่วมแสดงในนิทรรศการ 'Shine Landscape 2020 Award' ณ M.A.D.S. Milano เมืองมิลาน ประเทศอิตาลี และเดือนมกราคมปีเดียวกัน ได้ส่งผลงานเข้าร่วมแสดงในโปรเจ็ค 'Mass Art Project (MAP)' ณ Gallery VER กรุงเทพ อีกด้วย
ในปี 2562 ผลงาน “Banana & Me”ของเขา ได้รับเลือกเป็นผลงานสะสมของ MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum Chiang Mai จนนําไปสู่การจัดแสดงนิทรรศการเดี่ยวล่าสุดที่ชื่อว่า “CELL NUTURE” ณ The Golden Triangle Chicago ประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกา และ The Golden Triangle Hang Dong จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ ตามลำดับ ต่อมาเดือนธันวาคมเขาได้มีโอกาสจัดแสดงนิทรรศการเดี่ยวครั้งแรกในกรุงเทพฯ ที่ชื่อว่า "GLOOMY MEMOIR I ภาพจำ" ณ บาร์ York By Dumbo ย่านสะพานควาย นอกจากนี้ปี 2560 เขาร่วมแสดงผลงานในนิทรรศการ “พระราชาในดวงใจ” ณ หอศิลปวัฒนธรรมแห่งกรุงเทพมหานคร

Wanlop Hansunthai B. 1978, Chiang Mai
Wanlop Hansunthai graduated from Chiang Mai University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts. His interest is based on the relationship between nature and humanity through everyday observations. His work, therefore, focuses on giving an explanation of each story through paintings, in which a variety of techniques are adapted in order to reflect the different perspectives on the world’s facts. In August 2020,His has solo exhibition ‘THE RICE - FIELD CRAB SERIES’, Bipolar Art Studio,Bangkok,Thailand In January 2020, His has project name ‘Mass Art Project (MAP)',Gallery VER,Bangkok,Thailand and March 2020, His work “Banana & Me”(28 sec video art) was chosen to be one of the exhibition 'Shine Landscape 2020 Award',M.A.D.S. Milano,Milan,Italy.
His work “Banana & Me” was chosen to be one of the artworks in the collection of MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum Chiang Mai, leading to his latest solo exhibition in 2019 named “CELL NUTURE” The Golden Triangle Hang Dong District,ChiangMai,Thailand In December 2019 The Golden Triangle, Chicago,USA presents the “CELL NUTURE” exhibition again, In addition, in 2017, he participated in the exhibition "IN REMEMBER OF THE GREAT KING " (Main exhibition room, 8th floor, Bangkok Art and Culture Center)

‘หากนึกถึงอนาคตที่ยังมาไม่ถึง’ คงต้องย้อนเวลากลับมาสำรวจการเปลี่ยนแปลงและความแตกต่างของเรื่องราวจากอดีตมาสู่ปัจจุบัน เฉกเช่นเดียวกับผลงานจิตรกรรมอันเรียบง่าย แต่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวของศิลปิน หลายครั้งที่เขาหยิบยกประเด็นทางสังคมและวัฒนธรรมมาผสมผสาน บอกผ่านเรื่องราวของระบบนิเวศน์อันน้อยใหญ่ที่รายล้อมผู้คน อันก่อให้เกิดจุดเชื่อมโยงของความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างมนุษย์และธรรมชาติ เสมือนว่าเป็นการสะท้อนกลับของกระจกเงาในแต่ละช่วงเวลานั้นๆ นิทรรศการ ‘RETROSPECTIVE’ A Solo exhibition by WANLOP HANSUNTHAI นำพาผู้คนย้อนกลับมาครุ่นคิดถึงคำตอบของการใช้ชีวิตอยู่ที่เรียบง่าย อีกทั้งยังเป็นการเปิดประเด็นให้ได้ตระหนักคิดถึงเหตุการณ์ต่างๆ ณ ช่วงเวลาใดเวลาหนึ่ง อันมีตัวแปรของเวลาเข้ามามีบทบาทสำคัญ
