THE RICE - FIELD CRABS SERIE, by Wanlop Hansunthai, further explores the connections between humans and nature. He tells this impactful story through creativity, in the form of art. By choosing to highlight perspectives many of us have become accustomed to in our daily lives, and marking these stories down on paper, Hansunthai records the events of that given time. Or perhaps, it may also be his way of communicating with our wider society, alerting us to learn from the simplicities of life we often look over - for example, the wide range of living organisms we see regularly, yet ignore or misunderstand. Since every single thing on our Earth has its own pathway and journey, including our memories of the past which have everlasting effects on our present day environments and routines, this series of work thus acts as an invitation for people to search for the answers to these stories, and ponder on the true normalities of life.
